EUfrasie is a non-profit organisation that organizes together with the Information Office of the European Parliament in Brussels a European parliamentary simulation session three times a year. These sessions, taking place in the European Parliament in Brussels, are intended for young people who are in the last two years of high school. In this way we would like to give the young Europeans the unique opportunity to be in the shoes of our European top politicians.
Two of those sessions are called Europolis sessions, the other one is the EYP session. They are both set up in a similar way, however with their own different accents.
The common basis exists in the resolution that the participants have to prepare during the months before the sessions take place.The Europolis sessions give the schools the opportunity to defend their ideas in the resolution in the European Parliament, in the presence of interpreters who provide us, just as in reality, of a simultaneous translation.
The EYP-session is quite similar to the Europolis-session. However, in this case a jury selects two schools who may share their ideas with other young Europeans. In other words, we give them the opportunity to participate in the international session of EYP HSS. (more information see International Session)
